Hello all, I have not updated my Blog in some time but I plan to put some new work on it soon. So please stay tuned and such. But for now here so cool art that I worked on a little while ago.

Lately I have been looking over some of my older polaroids from California. When I took them I was staying with my father, I would walk up and down Hollywood and Vine taking photos of what I saw and what was Los Angeles. I lived in LA for 8 years from the ages 2 to 10. The place seemed so strange to me with all of the outdoor pools and neon signs. I move after the North Ridge earthquake to Connecticut with my mother. I think California still holds some magic to me because it is so wrap up in my childhood.

The late night Callan likes to stay up late! I am looking for a second job, it can be very frustrating. I have applied you Starbucks and other places but none of them have not called me. I wish a art degree meant something. Heres to staying up late and wishing to have it all... a job with insurance!

I am sure I am not the first to type my name into Google to see what I will get. I remember the first time I did this I found an old folks home called "Callan Silver Lakes." But today when I searched for my name I found an old photo from my MICA days that I had forgotten about giving MICA permission to use on the college website. It was fascinating to see it again. It has been a long time since I last looked at my college work.

I miss Jerry when he is sleeping. Sometimes I watch him, I told him once and I think he found it charming in a creeping way. I have been reading "Gone With the Wind" and every now and then I will look down at Jerry and think how glad I am that Jerry and I didn't live during the Civil War. But it would be fun to be a southern belle.

New Begining

Here is where I am going to start. I am up late at night doing this, the night is a weird place to be. It causes me to read long books, watch "thirtysomething"and write blogs. I am not sure how I feel about writing about myself and my art but I do like to tell stories about things. So that is what I am going to do!
